Participate in Waste Reduction Week organized by the Town in partnership with the Whitby Public Library on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Whitby Public Library, Central Library (405 Dundas St W, Whitby) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m:

1. Attend a Repair Cafe 

Do you have a broken household item? Don’t toss it!

Celebrate Waste Reduction Week, by bringing your broken/damaged small appliances, computers, electronics, clothes, jewelry, books, and more, to the pop-up Repair Café at Whitby Central Library, Meeting Room 1 on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to learn how to repair them with our expert volunteers.

This event is free but slots are limited, register today!

2. Join the Waste Reduction Event

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Whitby, recycle “hard-to-recyclable” items and help reduce your impact on our planet. Bring your old Brita filters, printer ink cartridges, toothbrushes, disposal razors, and pens, markers and highlighters and drop them off at the designated boxes kept in the Library’s Front lobby. No registration is required.
