Event Details:

Join us for a fun day of tree planting at the Heber Down Conservation Area! Thanks to a large group of community volunteers, the site was prepared in August 2025 by laying down cardboard, spreading compost and mulch. These materials have been settling over the last few months, creating a nutrient-rich site for the 600 trees and shrubs to be planted. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, connect with nature, and make a positive impact on the environment. No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty!

What to wear and bring:

• Protective work gloves
• Closed-toe shoes or boots
• Reusable water bottle
• Clothes appropriate for the weather
• Sunscreen and mosquito repellent (if necessary)
• Shovels (if possible), but we will have some available as well
• Epi-pen (for those with severe food, insect, or environmental allergies)

Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like.
