Participate in Earth Month organized by the Town in partnership with the Whitby Public Library on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Whitby Public Library, Central Library (405 Dundas St W, Whitby) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m:
1. Attend a Repair Cafe
Do you have a broken household item? Don’t toss it!
Celebrate Earth Month, by bringing your broken/damaged small appliances, computers, electronics, clothes, jewelry, books, and more, to the pop-up Repair Café at Whitby Central Library, Meeting Room 1 on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to learn how to repair them with our expert volunteers.
This event is free but slots are limited, registration opens March 10th!
2. Join the Waste Reduction Event
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Whitby, recycle “hard-to-recyclable” items and help reduce your impact on our planet. Bring your old Brita filters, printer ink cartridges, toothbrushes, disposal razors, and pens, markers and highlighters and drop them off at the designated boxes kept in the Library’s Front lobby. No registration is required. Participants will have the chance to win a $100 LEAF giftcard.
